The Signature Select is Albertsons’ off-shoot ice cream brand and offers many creative flavors. This line of ice creams offers so many different tastes and combinations that it has something for everyone. We at Tasty ice cream gave most of these flavors a try, and here is what we thought about them and whether you should give it a try as well or not in the Signature Select Ice cream review.
Unicorn Cotton Candy
The first ice cream we would like to talk about is the Unicorn Cotton Candy Icecream. Before we delve into the taste and texture of the ice cream, we need to first talk about its appearance. The packaging of the ice cream is super colorful, and the ice cream itself has two distinct pink and blue hues that make it look like something out of a dream. The base of the ice cream has been flavored artificially with cotton candy, with sprinkles of multi-colored candies. Considering that the ice cream is artificially flavored, we did not have many expectations, but surprisingly, it tasted like real cotton candy. It was sweet, and the texture was smooth and velvety, with rich, thick creaminess. We would recommend visuals alone, but adding the taste and texture to the mix, this ice cream is a definite thumbs up.
The Lemon Cheesecake is the second flavor we recommend to our readers. Anything with cheesecake in it is bound to be amazing and taste divine. This ice cream is no exception. The ice cream has cheesecake and is sprinkled with generous lemon zest. The cheesecake makes the ice cream so creamy that we had to take a moment to appreciate that. The sourness of the lemon zest complements the sweetness of the ice cream. You can find this ice cream pint in most local supermarkets, and you can also order it online, so give it a try. You will love it!
Black Raspberry Chip
Next up is the Black Raspberry chip. This flavor is a deliciously sweet end dessert to any lunch or dinner or a mood lifter after a bad day. The base of the ice cream is flavored with black raspberries so that you can expect sweetness and tartness simultaneously. The bits of chocolate chips added to the ice cream make it that much sweeter and perfect. The texture of the ice cream is velvety and soft, with no iciness or hardness, and the crunchy chocolate bits are the cherry on top. This is a thumbs up from our side in the Signature Select Ice cream review.
Last but not least is the Cinnamon Churro flavor. The ice cream itself is cinnamon flavored, but somehow it manages not to be overpowering. The chunks of churros mixed into the ice cream give it that extra bit of sweetness it needs and make the ice cream an overall great dessert. The only problem with the ice cream was that the cinnamon flavor overshadows the churros. If added a little more, the churros may have gotten the center stage in this ice cream, but that was unfortunately not what happened. Nevertheless, you can enjoy a good flavor of ice cream, and we give it a thumbs up in the Signature Select Ice cream review.
