Having a handy and useful set of ice cream molds in your kitchen can be helpful for making a sunny day more fun and exciting – you can grab yourself a few sweet treats for you and your guests, and you’ll be able to eat to your heart’s content!
We’ve found these cool molds on Amazon, and we want to share our thoughts about them with you. Read on for our review!
The Good
Silicone
The use of silicone in this Ouddy Ice Cream Mold is the thing that really impresses us most of all. It’s a wonderful material, and it means that you can be sure that the mold will work really well as well as lasting for a long time. The ice creams will pop out of the non-stick molds quickly, plus the silicone is flexible to aid the process. On top of that – silicone lasts for a long time! This means that you can be sure the molds will last for a long, long time indeed.
Versatile
We love the fact that these molds aren’t ice cream exclusive. If you wanted, you could use these containers for frozen yogurt, sorbet, or anything else that you might like! This versatility is handy when you’re cooking at home.
Your Own Sticks
This is a absolutely lovely touch – the molds encourage you to use your own sticks for the ice creams, whether wooden or otherwise. This encourages you to use sustainable materials when making the ice creams, for example, compostable wood, or reusable metal.
The Bad
They must freeze horizontally
This ice cream mold has an open-top and is flexible in its construction. This means that throughout the entire time that the ice cream is freezing, the mold needs to be flat within the freezer – this can be a problem for someone with limited freezer space.
There is no lid
The fact that there’s no lid to the product means that cross-contamination could occur in your freezer. This is a deeply concerning thing, as nobody wants someone to get sick from eating food that they’ve prepared. While this is an unlikely event, it’s certainly something that might be worth considering.
The Verdict
This product is a bit of a tricky one, as its main strength is the thing that is also its downfall: its flexibility. If you’re someone that typically has a fairly large amount of free space in their freezer, then this product is certainly something that would suit you down to the ground. If you find yourself constantly rearranging things in your freezer, however, you may be a little less inclined to opt for this product.
All in all, we would recommend picking up this product for your home kitchen. It’s a very versatile and flexible option, and we’d recommend it to someone that’s got a creative mind and a pocket full of ideas! Take a look through our link and let us know what you think!
