Homemade Blueberry Ice Cream Recipe
Blueberry Ice Cream is a fruity ice cream made from fresh blueberries. The sweet n sour taste of this ice cream makes your heart desire more of it. It is very simple to make it. First you heat blueberries in a pan with some other ingredients, then blend it when cooled, add it to the whipped cream, then add it to the ice cream maker, freeze it.

1 1/2 Cups heavy cream
0.75 lb (6 ounces) Blueberries
1 Cup sugar
1/8 Tsp. salt
1 Cup whole milk
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Directions
- Combine blueberries, sugar, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
- Heat the blueberry mixture over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves while stirring occasionally.
- Continue heating blueberry mixture until it comes to a boil.
Reduce the heat.
- Simmer the blueberry mixture for an additional 10 minutes.
Remove the blueberry mixture from the heat.
Cool for 20 minutes.
Puree blueberry mixture in a blend.
Combine the blueberry mixture, heavy cream, milk, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
Cover the ice cream base with a plastic wrap.
Chill the ice cream base in refrigerator overnight.
Pour the ice cream base into an ice cream maker.
Progress the ice cream in the ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions.
Note:
- If fresh Blueberries are unavailable, then you can use frozen blueberries.
